'What if's tended to flood Neville's mind in situations like this. What if they get caught? They didn't have an invisibility cloak like Harry to save them if something were to happen. What if they trailed this back to the three of them? It wasn't hard to guess who was or wasn't in the DA. Sure, they had no proof, but they didn't need proof anymore to punish you. Neville looked at Ginny and Seamus standing next to him. He wanted to do it alone, but Seamus insisted on helping. His witch mother and muggle father were currently in hiding, so the boy didn't have to worry about his family getting attacked. Still, Neville didn't want him to come along, afraid his friend would get hurt. 'You're turning into Harry, mate, thinking you have to do everything by yourself,' Seamus had scolded. Ginny, however, Neville was truly worried about. She wanted to recruit and make Harry proud; she wanted to do something. But her family wasn't in hiding like Gran or Seamus' parents. They were in the Burrow, or scattered out in other locations. Her brother's shop was even still open and causing laughter. Her brother was "sick" at home. She couldn't afford them going after her family. But when Neville told her this, she ignored him of course. True Gryffindors.
Ginny jumped at hearing Darcy speak, leaving a line of paint cutting through the last G in "Dumbledore's Army: Still Recruiting." It looked kind of cool, causing Neville to nod in approval. Seamus, who had whipped his wand around to point in the face of Darcy, was glaring. Neville wasn't going to tell him to lower his wand, as that would be stupid, but he could tell that Seamus' body language screamed 'ready to fight.' "Don't attack unless she attacks first," Neville warned. To Darcy, he said, "Good idea, LeStrange."
He cast a permanent sticking charm on the graffiti. It turned the area around their work of art shinny for a moment before turning back to normal. Neville nodded with approval at it, hoping it would get people riled up and the Carrows mad. And hopefully get more aware of the DA. They could use more people to join. Neville knew many apposed of the Carrows; even some children of Death Eaters didn't like them. But he was curious at which brave souls would actually be brave enough to join. Neville looked at Darcy, nodding once. This motion seemed to annoy Seamus and Ginny.
"Neville," Ginny almost growled, glancing at the daughter of Bellatrix. "What...?"
"Later," Neville said, not wanting to talk about someone as if they weren't there. He didn't like when that was done to him, and Darcy probably didn't want them having the 'Neville-you-idiot-don't-go-talking-to-Death-Eaters' conversation right in front of her face. Neville looked back at their beautiful masterpiece. It was on the ground floor, near the Great Hall. Meaning everyone had to pass it eventually, if they wanted to eat. This was their third one, the other two being a bit closer to Gryffindor tower.
"No, we're going to talk about right now, Neville Longbottom," Ginny said, her hand on her hip. She had a glare that resembled Molly Weasley, and could scare even Dolores Umbridge. She's always had a fiery and stubborn attitude, but since Harry left, it had been a bit violent. Not many wanted to cross her when she was unstable like this. "Who is this girl?"
