Occupation: Fourth year Student.

History: E.B. grew up with a Muggle father and a Witch for a mother, which would have been the first couple to break their pure bloodline. This caused a great hatred for their household, even when the rest of the family figured out that E.B. had shown signs of magical intentions at an early age. When he was little (and only child) and was playing with his toys, they had a tendency to 'come to life' every once and a while and get up and walk around. Similar events happened when he threw tantrums (a very rare thing) and glasses or dishware would shatter without warning. It was soon after a few of those events that his mother began teaching him a few things that she knew, but only knowledgeable things, not anything about using magic or wands, or anything too dangerous to get a child to talk about to muggles (besides his father of course). The other witches and wizards in the family sent him books and old items, his great aunt sending him runes which he found on her little journeys, and his uncle even buying him a White Barred Owl when he started his first year at Hogwarts.

Appearance

Basic Description: Even if he isn't that old, E.B. is very tall, he's about 6 foot 7 inches tall. His pelt is a striking snowy white with a wet black nose and large ears. His fur is short during the Spring and Summer seasons and during Winter becomes only slightly thicker, so he still finds himself chilly when outside for too long without the proper clothing, or when waking up in the dormitory in the middle of the night. E.B. has a naturally strong appearance to his features, from his long legs all the way to his lifted, large ears.

Style of Dress: E.B. is very fond of scarfs, he loves them, so he tried to incorporate them into most of his outfits outside of school grounds- except in maybe later Spring and Summer. Other than the scarfs, he likes to wear jeans that are loose around his long legs, with a hole snipped in the back to let his tail through.

Physical oddities: Not a very big oddity, but his ears are a tad bigger than normal for the breed.

Personality

Basic Description: E.B. is very smart, and he's very protective, but otherwise he's a friendly, calm, and serious. He gets very protective over his friends, and will gladly step up to defend them if something happens. Also adding onto his seriousness with things, this includes his studies, and also branches off to a sort of small form of competitiveness he tends to have.

Mental Problems: N/A

Likes: Quidditch, Potions, Transfiguration, and Astrology class, the process of making polyjuice potions (even though he's never had a reason to ever make it, he finds the challenge suiting), reading, studying, getting good marks in his classes.

Dislikes: Those that make fun of how quick he is to answer questions, people bothering his friends or even himself, idiots (the ones that do it just for laughs), Dementors.

History:Cole was only three when his parents divorced. Not old enough to understand it and at the perfect age to simply roll with the metaphorical punches. He was an easy child, in that way. He grew up with two homes and no real experience with as to what the words "happily married" could possibly mean. Both his parents remarried other people -- repeatedly. By the time he left for hogwarts, he'd seen so many marriages come together and fall apart that he lost faith in the entire institution. To him, being married just meant you were that much closer to breaking up.

Being at hogwarts provided the first stable environment he had ever known. He had one room, one bed, one place to live and thrive. And thrive he did. There was almost no need to place the sorting hat on his head; he was a ravenclaw through and through. Like a sponge, he absorbed all the material presented to him and even tried taking a few extra credit courses when he could. He especially took to Ancient Runes -- a class he loved so much that he began taking all his notes in the elder script. In most respects, Cole could be considered a first-class nerd.

Except he wasn't.

Cole's passion wasn't just for learning, but for life in general. He became the keeper of the ravenclaw quidditch team in his third year. By his forth year, he was like a magnet to the opposite sex -- and, as it happened, the same sex as well. Being the type to never let a new experience pass him up, he embraced both easily.

None that he dated during his school years ever managed to steal his heart, however. He kept that locked tight. Only two people did he ever let enter it: his best friends, Sam and Isa. He'd met them early on in his school years and quickly took to them. Where he was open and out there, they were both more shy and reserved. He brought some fun into their lives, they kept him grounded and under control. As time passed and their school years went on, Cole found himself falling for both of them, though saw it best never to say anything. He valued their friendship too much at the time and just couldn't let himself spoil it in any way. By the time the trio graduated, he still hadn't said anything to either and began to resolve himself never to.

They went their separate ways, after that; Cole's path sending him to study abroad. For the next ten years, he dedicated his life to mastering the workings of any and all rune systems he could, specializing in the elder furthark. Finally, he returned to england just in time for his class's ten year reunion. He was offered a job at hogwarts teaching ancient runes, much to his utter delight. He has held that position ever since and is now the Ravenclaw head.

Basic Description: Cole is a major nerd disguised as the cool teacher. He's the guy you can talk to about just about anything. He's an open book for the most part. When he was younger, he had no problem being the party-boy, but has since calmed down. He's always been the outgoing type, though it might not exactly match his field of study. In fact, he truly loves nothing more than to read, especially if it involves runes. He's dedicated his life to understanding them as fully as possible, and can often be found translating old scripts -- for fun.

Mental Problems: He has intimacy issues? Yeah. Let's go with that.
