So, I have been commissioned by my grandpa to write a mystery, probably a short story, but a little on the longer side. The problem is, I really don't ever write mysteries, so I have zero ideas.
This is where you people come in. Please just throw out any ideas you have for a mystery story, any at all.

So there's this family of five, right? Big Bro, Sister, Lil Bro, Mom, Dad. It's in third person, but we follow around Sis.
Big Bro comes home from the mall; he lost Lil Bro. The family goes out and tries to find him, get the police involved and everyone is looking for the kid. People start blaming Big Bro, and other random people (a friend of big bro, a neighbor, whoever last saw the boy, etc.)
Sis appears to be frantic. She's on a major hunt, throwing out ideas of where he may be. She says a lot of things, blames and yells at a lot of people.
And in the end, it was Sis all along.
What happens to the boy? Your choice. Why did she do this? Your decision.
This was a Lari and Livvia joint idea. Sadly, we both suck at mysteries.

XDD I love that lari, though I probably wouldn't have her actually kidnap him, just cuz that'd be too weird. she'll probably have just like given him twenty bucks and sent him off to the arcade or something. question is, why?

Because... Big Bro is the good child, so it seems. He never gets in trouble, and Sis wanted him to get in trouble bad?
And if she paid him to go to an arcade, it would have to be one across town or something. If it was in the mall, that would be the first place any sane person would look for a little boy. Maybe she paid a friend (one equally immature and loves to play games, just old enough to drive) to take him to said arcade across the town.
